Carmine Abbagnale

Record 128 Titles

With his brother Giuseppe and coxswain Giuseppe Di Capua during the 1980s and 1990s, he won two Olympic titles and seven world titles in the two con speciality.

When his brother retired, Carmine again won a world silver (paired with Gioacchino Cascone).

At the Olympic Games and World Championships he won nine gold medals, four silver and one bronze from 1984 to 1994.

At the Italian Championships he won 23 national titles between 1979 and 1995.

He competed in the two-handed speciality with his brother Carmine and with Giuseppe Di Capua as helmsman, winning the gold medal at the Los Angeles Olympics (1984) and the Seoul Olympics (1988) and seven world championships (in 1981, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1990 and 1991) .

At the Olympic Games and World Championships he won nine gold, three silver and one bronze medal between 1984 and 1993.

He won 28 Italian champion titles in his career between 1976 and 1995.
